From absolute beginner to the structures of B2
Start with A0, our introductory stage before A1, then explore content organised around CEFR levels A1 to B2. Each page lists the learning goals and modules. Completing them does not certify a CEFR level.
The levels name what each part of the course teaches. They are not diplomas. The course publishes 123 lessons and 784 vocabulary cards across the whole path, 20 of those lessons at B2. That is enough to work on the structures and the discourse of each level; it is not the volume of vocabulary and exposure an official exam assumes. A first edition, figures measured on 19 September 2026.
The vocabulary count means 784 published vocabulary entries, checked on 21 September 2026. A word reused in several modules is counted once here. The 882 declarations in our source files include these reuses; they are not 882 different cards.
French from scratch: level A0
Level A0 starts from scratch. You have never learned French, or you have long forgotten it. The eight modules of this level take you to greeting someone, ordering, asking for directions and paying for a simple purchase, in 23 short lessons.

French level A1
Level A1 covers everyday life. You talk about your family, your day, what you eat, what you will do tomorrow, and you say what happened yesterday. Ten modules, 30 lessons.

French level A2
Level A2 takes you beyond the isolated sentence. You tell a story, give an opinion, compare things, and cope while travelling and at the doctor's. Ten modules, 30 lessons.

French level B1
Level B1 moves from describing to making a case. You talk about your background, your work and your plans, you give advice, you follow the news and you begin to persuade. Ten modules, 20 lessons, a first edition.
